Kick Your Binge Brat to the Curb!

Binge Brat

I did a lot of organizing today and I plan to clean out a cabinet today to. I also started to put up some of my art collection. I want my home to feel like one.
It's windy today. I did take a walk yesterday. I will dance inside today.

I fought the binge brat today.
What is the binge brat?
Most people who think they have inner children usually are dealing with inner brats.
Brats that tell them they can’t do better. Brats that say it’s okay to “binge”
That they need will power” to succeed. The binge brat gives the idea to lie to your food journal or pretend your food portions were smaller because you eat the same things over and over again. The inner brat grabs for fad diets and bad pills. Your inner brat is mean to you.

Kick your inner brat out and send them paking.

1. Eat! Don’t starve yourself. You need body fuel. You need energy. Starving can lead to binges as well as other destructive behavior.
2. Ask yourself if someone upset you is it worth the binge
3. Go for non starchy vegetables and exercise when upset
4. Reward yourself, is stopping a binge monster for a moth worthy of a little gift.
5. Get a digital food scale. See if you can have three grams of butter instead the whole serving. Use your freezer to freeze united baked goods and some chocolates.
6. Treat others with respect. Not everyone eating a brownie is trying to sabotage you sometimes they just want a brownie.
7. Right three things your grateful for each day.
8. Ask yourself is this food worth eating sometimes it is. Can you have a smaller piece? Can you take it from your daily calories?
9. Take up a hobby like painting, sewing, or volunteer. Binge monsters hate people who have fun lives.
10. Make Fitness fun.
11. Take naps. A sleepy body is a overly hungry body.
12. Seek professional help if you need it.
13. Plan for treats. A treat is not a reward and is not a treatment.
14. When you fell like binging read a good book with a caffine free diet drink. Caffine can make some people hungry.
15. Blog or call a friend.
16. Take a walk.
17. Clean your house.
18. Exercise with your kids.
19. Tell your binge brat off.

How do you deal with your binge brat?

Litle Sweets

I had salad and cheese for lunch.

My exercise was walking.

Some of the stores around here pack a better selection of candy than I see in other parts of the US.
Even though I like to exercise and eat healthy I also like to enjoy candy. Candy is part of eating plan. I don’t want to diet and deprive myself into binges .
I bought a Mallow cup. I hadn’t had one of these in years. I also bought a violet crumble which says it’s an Australian an honey crisp. Violet crumble is 4 points per the whole bar and it’s pretty big. A normal Br this big would be 6 points. I split the violet crumble but will have to get it again. It’s sort of like having a hot chocolate in bar form. The inside is filled with hard foam. I have some yummy looking truffles to try as well.

Dressing Up my home

I got to sleep into day which is always a plus
My exercise to today was walking to the groceries store and getting groceries and bringing them back. Yes it’s only a few minutes but every bit of movement counts. Okay it was also with powerful winds to my back. I had to come back an indirect way so to avoid it scare in the face.

I’ve been inspired by Living to Feel good. I felt needed to decorate my home.
Yesterday: I put up a little nativity set and I also put up a metal star center piece.
It looks very nice and not overly done. They were gifts from my mommy. (Mother in law but I claim her.)

I wish I had ivy and white Christmas lights to string up. I did set up some Christmas tree shaped decorations so I have a mini and I mean doll size tree.
I just can’t think of away of keeping my little one from knocking over our larger plastic tree so I am not sure I will set it up. It's our Charlie brown Christmas tree.
My husband and I bought the tree at big lots a couple years back. My sister bought the same one but her tree looked like the transformed tree due to her careful use of green tinsel.

I organized Christmas presents and put some away for birthdays. I need to walk to the hard where store and get some stick’s to put up.

I put some things in storage.

Friday

I did a lot today. I exercised. I played with my little one watching home star runner. I thought why not let my little one join in and make exercise fun.
There is still so much more to do.

I worked on my talk for church. I will probably re-write it tonight or tomorrow.

I bought my husband’s Christmas gift online and it should be arriving on time for the big holiday. I have to buy him another gift one knows about but I wanted a sweet surprise as well. He’s hard to shop for but I found something that he will like.

Confession:Butter

Confession: I ate real butter yesterday
I hadn’t had butter as a spread in a while. I used to binge on it mostly on bread but sometimes don’t mean to gross anyone out but I’d just eat it straight. When I was on the losing side of my diet I’d keep it frozen in the fridge for baking. I would use a teaspoon for the crust as binder for my semi light cheesecakes.
Now here is the good part I cut off a very small part and weighed it on my digital scale and used a special calculator to figure out the calories and fat. I found I didn’t need a whole tbs. I did count it. Sometimes we fool ourselves into thinking it’s just a little bit and it doesn’t count. Well it all ads up no matter what you weigh.

Tip For the day.
Just one day till Thanksgiving. I want you to take the time to pamper yourself today and take the time to smile today. There are too many stressed people during this time.

Wasting Food

Wasting Food
VH Melville
I am getting ready to go grocery shopping.
Waiting food is: Eating all the food at the restaurant because someone quilted you into you. You didn’t really enjoy it and you could have eaten that food later.

Wasting food is: Eating food you do not enjoy to force yourself to eat healthy or to save money.

Funny Tummy

I did exercise today by picking up the mail. YAy me! I didn't even feel like leaving the house today. I am now getting hungry again too.
I've been having a funny tummy for the last few days.

Questions: Diet products

1. Has anyone tried a diet product the loved?
2. What about a diet product you rejected?

PS Has anyone of my reader’s tried the Hacker’s Diet, Low GI, or a Richard Simon’s plan?

Sea-monkeys

Well I did it an actual aerobic work out today instead of walking. I felt like doing nothing today I did clean and take care of a little one. I won’t go into all the gross details about little one getting ill.

I feel like getting myself sea-monkeys to cheer myself up. There is nothing quite like the little buggers swimming in a tiny plastic tanks to put me in a good mood. I will wait after Christmas though.

I had my first tank of sea-monkeys when I was a teenager. I wanted them since I was real little and saw them in the back of comics and in a pet store. I wished the tank was bigger but I loved my little squirmy guys. Sea monkeys are real but they do not look like the box art work but I never really expected them too. They are a bug like shrimp. I loved all the accessories you could buy.

I feel Like Binging

I haven’t felt like blogging in a while yet I keep forcing myself too. I know how easy it is to get off track. I feel moody today. I feel like binging. I have been binging to be honest but on things like carrots and any other fresh veggie I can get my hand on. I am making a confession. I am eating a carrot right now. I decided better carrots than angel food cake or bread and butter. I will count some of them to make myself more accountable. I can binge on anything.
I decided not out of the house yet to buy a bag of chips or have ice cream and Chinese food delivered because I don’t want to spend money.

I need to exercise. I also need to keep the house clean today. I did a major cleaning already but keeping it that way for more than 50 seconds is hard.

What are your ideas to help fight binges?

How Do you want that Carrot?

VH Melville
I like to eat veggies as much as much and often more than junk food.
I like crisp carrots sprinkled with sugar substitute and all spice or cinnamon. I like salads with person cheese and raisons. You only need a table spoon or two of raisons.
I love to eat tomatoes in salads or whole. They can be eaten with salt or pepper.
How do you eat your veggies?
Do you like artichokes?

Class

Fitness documentaries and books often talk about the importance gym class but there is often another class that is also important to health and well being.
Is history? Is it drama? I loved both history and drama when I was in high school but the class I am referring to his Home Economics. I know this may sound silly but the class is not. It teaches important skills to both sexes. The people who did best in my Home Economics classes were guys. While I still cannot sew I’ve learned voluble skills that I have taken with me.

Here’s just some of Home Economics can teach: Cooking, grocery shopping, check writing, sewing, creativity, math and even science. You learn weighing and measuring.

Some students will not learn such skills from their family. Family meals bring better health to families.

Love Your Size

Hopefully I will watch a DVD with my husband later tonight. I promised myself I’d exercise but I don’t feel like it so I better start exercising now.

I sometimes read diet blog.
I read some disturbing posts and a sad response about a size four teen whose mom put her on subscription diet pills. They were obtained illegally.

1. Size four isn’t fat.
2. It’s not better that we have anorexia or are children have anorexia than be fat. Anorexia is a mental disuse and some anorexics hear voices. Wishing anorexia on a fat relative or on ourselves is not okay.
3. Women need some body fat or we’d be like men. I like being a girl.
4. We get too much in the ascetics of thin what about health? I lost weight because I have diabetes running in my family. I witnessed ugly ulcers on my grandmother’s leg and the leg’s eventual removal. Even now I have a hard time not binging.
5. It’s not okay to force your kids on fad diets and give them herbal diet pills. Remember when I stated in a past post tobacco is an herb.
6. I want you to love yourself if you are a size 12 love yourself, a size 24 love yourself, if you are 8XXL or size 7 love yourself.
7. Candy is not evil it can be enjoyed as part of a healthy diet.
8. Sometimes we fail and our weight come back but sometimes it sticks we are not bad or good people due to our weight.

The Day After

Halloween is over.

Did you all have a good time? Any parties? Any dancing?

I had a few mini three musketeers gum and one mini milky way. I counted them all. I have lots of left over gum. I bought it in a giant bucket but it’s only 15 calories per piece.
I had no time to put an outfit on. It was one of those days. My organic chocolate chips came in yesterday and I can’t wait to start baking with them again. Organic usually is nutritionally the same as non organic but these taste better are a lower price and ten calories less.
Okay I had gum and carrots for breakfast. I plan to have my real food soon. I don’t want to go out today.

I am cooking in my crock-pot today.
