Slacker Girl

I have been slacking off in my exercise and feel tired. I need to do something different. I feel the need to help people. I want to make the world a better place for my little one.

My aunt died recently. She was ill for some time. I feel for her family.

I don’t get basic cable. I saw part of biggest Loser on line the other day. Who likes it?
Who doesn’t? If there was anything you like to change what would you change? I guess I like the people on the show but I am not for separating families which is why I guess I liked the family clips on the net better.
I still need to work on a few more articles for the health rebel book.

My wants
For people to be kinder to one another.

I want a calorie counting softwear that has recipe builder and restaurant guides with a data base I can share nutritional information packets with others. Also having an exercise calendar with reminders a plus.

To have more energy.

You commented on my blog a while back. Thank you. Generally I get back to people sooner, but things have been difficult for me lately.

Congratulations on maintaining your weight. Being an overweight lifetime Weight Watcher member, I know that maintenance is extremely difficult.

I, too, would like to have more energy. Unfortunately, even at goal weight, I'm not a high energy person.
Even so, I know that I'd have more energy if I geared myself up to be even minimally more active than I am currently.

Condolences to you on the loss of your Aunt. Its so hard losing a member of your family - we knew someone who passed away earlier this year, and they knew for so long that she was going to die that they started planning her funeral while she was still alive (I can only imagine the conflicting emotions with that one)

If you find any software out there that has the functionality that you have mentioned, let us know! I'd love something like that.

Take care of yourself, big hugs.

Sorry to hear about your aunt. It's hard to lose someone.

Well, I did check out the biggest loser last week (can't now due to school and can't get my vcr to tape it! it's broken). It was pretty good. I mean they have them weighing in on tv like a contest. Team vs. team. I don't think I could weigh in on tv, god. Anyway, they push them too much and too often but I think get them to go in the right direction and live a healthier life (we hope after the show ends). I did hear some of what suzie from the last years' biggest loser said. She was at the end of the show and ready to go onstage and show off her new body and she practically passed out back stage from not eating enough. So, don't agree w/ that. Other people who left the show went home and had fractures in their foot. So, for entertainment purposes, good show. For real life wt loss/maintenance...don't think they are sending the right message. Slow and steady is the way to go but hey they have to get the ratings.

I find The Biggest Loser very inspirational. There's always a moment where you see the switch flip for each person on the show. The moment where they realize they've got the strength and determination to get through the difficult process of losing weight and where they seem to see themselves in a whole new light. Great, great show.
